People tested positive with the new strain are being kept in isolation. Contact tracing is being done for co-travellers, family contacts and others.
From November 25 to December 23 midnight, about 33,000 passengers landed at various Indian airports from UK. All these passengers are being tracked and subjected by states and UTs to RT-PCR tests.
Several states have also announced night curfews and other restriction in view of the new strain.
