India is the fastest to give 1 Million Coronavirus Vaccines shots in the World!

India took only 6 days to administer one million COVID-19 vaccine doses, a count which is higher than that of countries like the US and the UK, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday. In just six days, 12.7 lakh people are vaccinated. The UK took 18 days whereas the US took 10 days to reach the one million mark, the ministry said.

As on January 24, till 07:30 PM, nearly 16,13,667 beneficiaries have received Covid-19 vaccination.A  total of 27,920 sessions have been conducted so far, the ministry said.

India is also sending COVID-19 vaccines to other nations as part of the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative.

So far, 92 countries have approached India for COVID-19 vaccines, including Brazil, which accounts for the third-highest coronavirus caseload across the globe and the second-largest death toll.

In the last few days, India has sent consignments of indigenously developed coronavirus vaccines under grant assistance to Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Mauritius and Seychelles.

India's Covid-19 tally increased to 1,06,54,533  with 14,849  new cases in past 24 hours, while the recoveries surged to 1,03,16,786  pushing the national recovery rate to 96.83  per cent.

Moreover, the death toll increased to 1,53,339 with 155 new fatalities in past 24 hours. The fatality rate of the country stands at 1.44 per cent.

The active caseload of the country stands at 1,84,408. The share of the active cases in the total cases has further shrunk to 1.73 per cent.

80.67% of the new cases are concentrated in six States and UTs.

Seven States/UTs account for 79.35% of the 155 case fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the number of people who have tested positive for the UK variant of COVID-19 in India has risen to 150 the Union Health Ministry said earlier.

India becomes fastest country in world to complete over 6 million vaccination

 The world’s biggest inoculation drive began in India on January 16 with two indigenously-manufactured Covid-19 vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin. Even with exporting to needy nations and neighbouring regions, India managed to registered more than 1 million vaccinations within the first six days of the mega drive, becoming the fastest country to do so. GST Collection At All-Time High Since Its Implementation,almost touches Rs.1.20 lakh crore in January 2021

 On the eve of Union Budget 2021, the GST revenue collected for the month of January 2021 has touched nearly Rs 1.20 lakh crore. The tax collection is higher than the December 2020 record, which witnessed an unexpected rise of 11.6 per cent. This is the highest GST revenue the government has collected since the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax regime.
