New Year Gift By Ambani, All Domestic Call On JIO To Be Free From January 1

 Reliance Jio on Thursday announced that it will offer free voice calls to any network starting January 1,2021.The operator will restart its earlier practice over a year after it started charging its subscribers 6 paise a minute to make voice calls to other mobile networks.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) in September 2019 extended the timeline for implementation of the Bill and Keep regime beyond January 1.The Ambani-led firm Jio said it was left with no option but to start charging its customers for off-net voice calls at a rate exactly equivalent to the applicable IUC charge.

The company said that "Honouring its commitment to revert off-net domestic voice-call charges to zero,as soon as IUC charges are abolished,Jio will once again make all off-net domestic voice calls free,starting 1 January 2021.On-net domestic voice calls have always been free on the Jio network".

Reliance Jio was soft launched in December 2015 and become publicly available on September 5,2016.According to the company's claim,it has over 40.56 crore subscribers.

GST Collection At All-Time High Since Its Implementation,almost touches Rs.1.20 lakh crore in January 2021

 On the eve of Union Budget 2021, the GST revenue collected for the month of January 2021 has touched nearly Rs 1.20 lakh crore. The tax collection is higher than the December 2020 record, which witnessed an unexpected rise of 11.6 per cent. This is the highest GST revenue the government has collected since the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax regime. India Reports 2 More Fresh Cases Of New Strain Of Coronavirus, Total 116 Cases have Been Detected So Far

 The Union Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare announced on Saturday that a total of 116 persons have been detected positive with the new strain of Covid-19.
